RS660 Instrument Panel Protection: safeguarding one of the bike’s most delicate components

The RS660 instrument panel protection was created to protect one of the bike’s most exposed and expensive components: the original TFT display.

During sporty riding or track use, a simple slide can crack the instrument panel even when the rest of the bike sustains only minor damage. Beyond the cost of replacement, a damaged display can compromise visibility of essential riding information.

For this reason, we developed a protection capable of absorbing common impacts without compromising screen readability or the bike’s aesthetics.

Protection designed to absorb impacts

The protection consists of a billet-machined aluminum alloy structure that surrounds the original instrument panel, creating a mechanical barrier that limits damage in the event of a fall.

A shatterproof, scratch-resistant clear screen is fitted on the front, protecting the TFT display without altering its brightness, contrast, or readability.

The result is effective protection that keeps information fully visible in every riding condition.

Lightness and stiffness designed together

The protection is fully machined from billet aluminum via CNC machining.

The lightening cutouts were designed to achieve the best balance between weight, stiffness, and protective capability.

The structure maintains high mechanical strength while keeping the component’s overall weight to a minimum.

At just 110 grams, it’s an extremely lightweight solution that doesn’t affect the bike’s dynamic behavior.

Uncompromising build quality

Each protection starts from a 3.5 kg block of Anticorodal, fully machined from billet down to the final component.

This approach delivers extremely precise dimensional tolerances, perfect fitment, and superior surface quality compared to cast components.

Laser marking completes the production process, while anodizing protects the component over time and enhances the bike’s aesthetics.

Plug & Play Installation

The protection is developed specifically for the Aprilia RS660.

It fully preserves the original position of the instrument panel and uses only the mounting points provided by the bike.

Installation is completely Plug & Play and requires no permanent modifications.
